12.29.12 NEW ENGLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | CHARTER OAK COUNTRY CLUB, HUDSON, MASSACHUSETTS

Lindsay & Ross wanted to take their engagement photos around the financial district in Boston. I had a great time photographing them in some pretty cool spots. They ended up using this black and white photo for their save the date which everyone LOVED. Their wedding day was held at the Charter Oak Country Club in Hudson, Massachusetts.

I love all of the bright and bold purples and pinks!
I love this photo of everyone talking and laughing!

Beautiful girlies!

12.20.12 NEW ENGLAND ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | WEDDING AT THE SAPHIRE ESTATE, Sharon, Massachusetts

I always tell my clients that it’s in their best interest to book an engagement session before the big day. I photographed Robert and Jaclyn’s engagement session in Marion, Massachusetts where we practiced poses and got to know each other. I wanted to share a couple of these photos on this post because I love the way they turned out.

In September they had their wedding at the Saphire Estate in Sharon, Massachusetts. Their ceremony and cocktail hour was outside and the reception was inside the beautiful venue. Some of my favorite parts of the wedding – they hired a school bus to drive them around (love those photos!), during cocktail hour they had a blue grass band playing (so much fun!) and to top it off had Boston Cigar Factory making handmade cigars for everyone! Everything about their wedding was beautiful and original and we were there the whole time capturing every special moment!

Here are just a few of my favorite shots.

New England wedding photographer | wedding at the Friendly Crossways Retreat Center, Harvard, Massachusetts

I photographed a very pretty wedding at Friendly Crossways Retreat Center in Harvard, Massachusetts in July. The couple (Jenn and Matt) worked really hard on designing their perfect country wedding. Every little detail was perfect. I highly recommend Friendly Crossways for any couple that wants a beautiful outdoor wedding under a beautiful tent.

10.8.12 Rhode Island wedding photographer | Wedding at the North Beach Clubhouse, Narragansett, Rhode Island

Kristen and Matt – a wonderful couple from Texas first met each other in Rhode Island while attending college. They decided that it was only right to come back to their old stomping grounds to tie the knot. Kristen and I talked and we decided to schedule a first look so they could enjoy part of their cocktail hour after the ceremony. This worked out perfect because by the time the ceremony was over we were blessed with the most beautiful light. I really enjoyed photographing at the North Beach Clubhouse. Here are a couple of my favorite images.

20-month-old Delaney | Massachusetts Beach Photographer

When Stacie Giannetta from Requesting your Presence booked her family beach portrait I was more than excited! Stacie and David decided to take Ms. Delaney (20 month old cutie patootie) to a beach in Bourne, MA near their vacation home. Delaney had fun running around and playing with the sand, my sun glasses and her snacks! I ended up getting a bunch of great candid shots along with some nice posed shots that they can use for their holiday cards.

Palm Springs and Yucca Valley

Ryan and I went to Southern California for our honeymoon. What was our favorite part of the trip? Palm Springs and Yucca Valley. We rented a really cool house called the  Rock Reach house in Yucca Valley which was featured in Dwell Magazine – it was basically the house of my dreams. We cooked a lot of great food and explored Joshua Tree Park which is a real hidden gem. In Palm Springs we stayed at the Ace Hotel which was fun to photograph and then we went to the Elvis honeymoon hideaway . Haha – yup! Some people go to the Islands…we end up in a desert. If you know us it makes total sense!

10.7.12 HITCHED!

Hello everyone! Well…it’s been a very busy year to say the least. This wedding season I was blessed with 20 amazing weddings with beautiful details. I will be posting some of those weddings soon. On a personal level I’d like to share that on June 28th – Ryan and I got HITCHED!

Because I’m crazy about little details planning the wedding was a really hard task. I wanted the wedding to have a vintage feel. I spent over 3 months searching for vintage bottles but they needed to be the right shade of blue or the labels had to look a certain way. Craaaazzzy! I know! Believe me - I now have a whole new respect for brides. I never would have thought in a million years that I would spent as much time planning the wedding as I did.

What do I now recommend to my brides? 1…hire a planner…2…hire a videographer!

Our wedding Vendors? Well, we were blessed with 4 amazing photographers: Meghan Sepe, Edson Dias, Masao Okano and Polina Kelly. Our great videographer: Mike Sun. Greenlion weddings arranged our beautiful flowers. Requesting Your Presence did all of our paper accessories. Markos Catering was unbelievable and went above and beyond for us.

Photos by: Meghan Sepe and Masao Okano.

1.11.12 Holiday Portrait at the Newport Mansions. Rhode Island Portrait Photographer.

I had such a good time photographing Luda and her beautiful Pitbull Abby.  Luda wanted to get a couple of cool shots by the water for her holiday card. I do have to admit that it might have been the coldest day of the year. This was taken just a week before Christmas! Maybe a holiday photo shoot by the water wasn’t the smartest idea? Ha ha…no we had a great time! Enjoy your preview!

10.30.11 Jen & Lyle’s Backyard wedding

Jen & Lyle’s wedding was very special. They put a ton of time and creative energy into making their special day perfect…and it was! Their ceremony was perfect. It was held under a big tree and their guests sat on hay bails covered with pretty handmade quilts.
Lyle and his best man wore a tartan (Kilt) while their Pitbull Mariska happily walked down the isle with a pretty flower & bell wreath around her neck. At the reception Jen had a old wood backdrop set up along with props and my second shooter (Corey Grayhorse) photographed guests all night. For dinner they had a really good BBQ buffet, drinks were placed in a boat filled with ice (I posted a photo of Lyle laying in the ice!) and for desert they had homemade pies!
Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
